LMSW – Temp-to-Perm

Non-Profit organization located in New York City seeks highly motivated, young, and energetic LMSW. Qualified candidates would have previous experience working with children, adolescent and families.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Establishing client treatment goals
• Providing psychiatric supports
• Individual counseling and treatment, substance abuse counseling and treatment, trauma-informed counseling and treatment, family and group counseling, transitional counseling
• Psycho- education and wellness education
• Communicating with family, case planning staff and medical practitioners
• Enhancing compliance with behavioral health expectations
• Utilizing interventions drawn from evidence-based psychotherapeutic models
• Structuring interventions to decrease problem behavior and increase developmentally appropriate pro-social behavior

This is a Temporary to permanent position. This position requires someone who is willing to do field work.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed social worker
• Bilingual Spanish preferred but not needed
• Knowledge of Substance Abuse treatment
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development
• Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills are essential
